Women's Basketball Places One on All-SSC Team

ORLANDO, Fla.— One member of the Barry University women’s basketball team landed on the All-Sunshine State Conference Team.
 
Junior forward Mariessa Greene was named to the All-SSC Second Team.  Greene was second on the team in scoring average this year with 12.3 points per game.  In addition, Greene led the Buccaneers in rebounds (225) and rebounds per game (9). Greene, a transfer from University of Illinois, played her first season with the Bucs this year.
 
The Buccaneers ended their season on Wednesday night, losing in the first round of the BlueCross and BlueShield of Florida SSC Basketball Tournament to Rollins, 50-67.
 
Nova Southeastern’s Stephanie Sarosi won player of the year while Paul Honsinger from Eckerd won Coach of the Year.
