Published on: Nov 02, 2009

MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry University Baseball Program will be having their annual scout day on Wednesday, November 4 at 4:30 pm. The event will showcase draft eligible players to Major League Scouts representing many major league teams.

The event will begin with the 60 yard dash, followed by Batting Practice, an infield/outfield segment and then a scrimmage involving all draft eligible pitchers.

In last year’s MLB draft, four Buccaneers were drafted including Yan Gomes who was the highest Barry player ever drafted, going in the 10th round, 310th overall. The Bucs also sent Danny Lima, Bobby Hernandez, and Yudelmis Hernandez to the majors.

The event is open to the public.
