Chris Rich begins his third year with the coaching staff working with both the men’s and women’s keepers after a stellar four-year career between the pipes for the Buccaneers.
As a freshman out of Valrico, Fla., Rich started in three of the last four games for the Bucs. By his sophomore year, he had played and started 14 games in goal. In 2005, Rich took his game to the next level with a career-best 10-3-1 record with 46 saves and 1.01 goals against average. In his final season for Barry, Rich started all but two games, earned a career high 58 saves and a 1.65 goals against average. He closed out his career with a 28-16-2 record and totalled eight shut outs.
Rich served as the President of Barry’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for two years and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport management in 2007, and a master’s degree in sport management in 2009.
