Chris Rich begins his third year as keeper coach. Rich played all four years of his collegiate career at Barry University, serving three years as the men’s team primary keeper. under coach Steve McCrath.
As a freshman out of Valrico, Fla., Rich started in only three of the last four games for the Bucs. By his sophomore year, he had played and started 14 games in goal. In 2005, Rich took his game to the next level with a career-best 10-3-1 record with 46 saves and 2.28 goals against average. In his final season for Barry, Rich started all but two games, earned a career high 58 saves and significantly dropped his goals against average to 1.65. He closed out his career 28-16-2 with a total of eight shut outs.
Rich served as the president of Barry’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for two years and graduated in 2007 with a degree in Sport Management. He is currently a graduate assistant in the office of Student Activities and pursuing a masters degree in Sport Management.
