Giving Clubs
Barry's Giving Clubs unite those who are especially interested in the future direction and growth of Barry University. Members of these Clubs serve as an inspiration to others.
Through the generous gifts of their members, the following giving clubs support a wide range of programs. Gifts may be unrestricted, benefiting the University's greatest current need, or restricted to a particular area.
Annual Fund Giving Clubs Annual Fund Giving Clubs are 1 year memberships and renewed through your annual donation.
Patron's Club |
Patrons Club,
for those whose annual fund gift totaled $10,000 or more. |
The Gold Circle |
The Gold Circle,
for those whose annual fund gift totaled $5,000 to $9,999. |
Silver Shield Society |
Silver Shield
Society, to honor one of the traditional colors of the Barry
shield. Includes those whose annual fund gift was between $2,500 and $4,999. |
Ambassador's Circle |
Ambassadors Club, includes those gift was between
$1,000 and $2,499.

Council of 500 |
Council of 500, for those givers whose gift was between $500 and $999.

Rose and Candle |
Rose and Candle,
named for the ceremony that precedes commencement, includes
those whose gift was between $250 and $499. |
Red & Black Society |
Red & Black Society,
for two of Barry’s traditional colors, includes those
whose gift was between $100 and $249. |
Pelican Club |
Pelican Club, named after
a familiar campus icon, includes all first-time givers under
$100. |
Lifetime Giving Clubs
Lifetime Giving Clubs are based on your accumulated lifetime giving. A total lifetime gift of $10,000 or more qualifies you for these prestigious clubs.
Members of Barry's Lifetime Giving Clubs are perpetually recognized in Barry University publications, such as the President's Report. They are also honored annually at the Founders' Ball held every November during Founders' Week. Each member will receive a plaque and benefactors that have given $50,000 or more will have a plaque placed, in their honor, on Barry's Founders' Walk.
- Order of the Flame includes those who have given a gift of $10,000 or more to Barry over their lifetime.
- Society of Founders includes those who have given a gift of $50,000 or more to Barry over their lifetime.
- President's Circle includes those who have given a gift of $1 million or more to Barry over their lifetime.
Special Purpose Giving Clubs
- The Covenant Society recognizes those individuals that have included Barry in their estate planning. It includes donors who make an estate gift or other form of planned gift to Barry University. The Covenant Society expresses our grateful appreciation to individuals who make a planned gift in support of Barry University's mission: quality academics, a religious dimension, community service and presence, and a caring environment.
- You can be an Angel by contributing to the Theatre and Music Scholarship Fund. Angels contributing $25 or more will be listed in the season's playbills and receive reserved seating for Barry productions. To become an Angel, please specify on your pledge card that you would like your contribution to go to the Theatre and Music Scholarship Fund and that you would like to become an Angel.
- The BUC Club recognizes individuals who support Barry Athletics in the way of cash donations, gifts-in-kind, or notable service. This support is essential to supplement Barry's limited financial support base for athletics. By joining the BUC Club you are entitled to an All-Sports pass which allows your entire family or a group to a full year of Barry sports action. BUC Club levels of support and benefits are as follows:
