Business school student earns FMA Collegiate Fellows Program award

Nilam Singh, a senior at Barry University majoring in finance was one of 21 students across the nation that received the Financial Management Association (FMA) Collegiate Fellows Program award.
The only Barry student to be recognized by the FMA honor society, Singh is in the company of other students from schools such as the University of Central Florida and Georgetown University. She proved to be an exceptional candidate demonstrating exemplary leadership, service and program planning. The FMA fellows program, awards outstanding chapter members who make meaningful contributions in service to their chapter and college or university throughout the year.
“It is rewarding to be recognized for the work you do,” said Singh, 20. “It afforded me the chance to learn about different firms, about how people can grow within an organization and what to expect in the field. I also have to thank Dr. Payne, my mentor and guide."
