StART 2009
StART is the Student Advanced Registration and Transitions program. All the students who participate in StART will be able to meet with their academic advisors, design their schedules, register for classes, take placement tests, order books, and obtain their student ID, to mention only a few of the advantages. After completing the program, all you will have left to do is to come back at the beginning of the semester to begin classes.
What can you do at StART?
When you come to StART you will:
- Select and register for classes for the fall semester
- Meet with an academic advisor
- Order your books
- Obtain your student ID card
- Meet your future classmates and friends!
When will StART take place this year?
StART is designed for new first-time, transfer and international students who will begin Barry in the fall semester of 2009.
All new students will have to attend a StART program. The dates are as follows:
StART I = June 22 - 23, 2009 (first-time, freshmen)
StART II = June 25 - 26, 2009 (first-time freshmen)
StART III = August 25, 2009 (First-time freshmen only)
StART IV = August 26, 2009 (Transfer and International students)
First day of classes - Monday, August 31, 2009
StART III
Resident Students
Mandatory move-in: Monday, August 24, 2009, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. You will be moving into your Fall housing assignment.
Commuter Students
Mandatory check-in to StART: Tuesday, August 25, 2009, from 7:00 am to 8:30 am.
Resident International Students
Mandatory move-in to the Residence Halls on Monday, August 24, 2009, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
International Student Orientation: Tuesday, August 25, 2009, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
International Commuter Students
International Student Orientation: Tuesday, August 25, 2009, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Resident Transfer Students
Mandatory move-in: Tuesday, August 25, 2009, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Check in for StART IV: Wednesday, August 26, 2009, from 7:00 to 8:30 am.
