About the Certificate

This 30-hour training in Case Management is for staff of Early Childhood Education, Child Development Services, Head Start and Early Head Start Programs.

Course content includes:

  • An overview of the Principles of Case Management.
  • Theory and Practice of Interpersonal Communication
  • Understanding Networking and Community Partnerships;
  • Record-Keeping and Documentation to ensure compliance with agency and federal guidelines.

Focus topics include:

  • Case Management Models for Practice,
  • Effective, appropriate and timely communication with families, staff, and external sources.
  • Building and maintaining Community Partnerships.
  • Documentation and record-keeping,
  • Organization and confidentiality of files;
  • Referrals and documentation of case notes.
