We the members of the Association of Black Social Workers work cohesively to promote the welfare, survival and liberation of the black community. We advocate for social change locally, stately, and nationally. The purpose of this organization is for students to promote health and well-being, advocacy, and support for students of African ancestry on a community, state-wide, and national level. We stand for equal justice and opportunity for people of African ancestry as well as helping to cultivate a healthier world. As students, we would like to create a world in which people of African ancestry can live free from discrimination, oppression, and economic exploitation. This is created through advocacy for policy, community service, and opportunities for minority students to assist within the community.
