Completed in approximately 28 months, this program offers 63 credits of social work courses and electives designed to strengthen students' skills and knowledge through theory and field practice. Our trauma-informed program will prepare students for advanced social work practice and provide training to create leaders and dedicated practitioners. Students will enroll in foundation-level courses followed by an advanced concentration in trauma-informed clinical practice.
Students are required to complete 1000 hours of Professional and Clinical Practice training over the duration of enrollment. This translates into approximately 10 hours a week of social work internship. However, Professional and Clinical Practice begins in semester 2 giving students’ additional time to transition into graduate school. Students have the ability to request a ‘two-agency placement’ (split between foundation and concentration levels) allowing for a more diverse practice experience. This program is designed for working professionals. Students will take two courses on Saturday (8:30am – 3:30pm) each semester. Professional and Clinical Practice will be assigned for completion during the week.
