
Biography
Diahann Holder is a proud Barry University alumna, accomplished educator, and educational consultant with more than 20 years of experience across elementary, secondary, and adult education. Diahann, began her career in 2003 with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, where she served with distinction until her retirement in 2014. Driven by a passion for educational equity and financial empowerment, she went on to launch her own Educational and Financial Consulting Company, focused on supporting students, educators, families, and communities through customized academic, leadership, and financial literacy programs.
In 2019, Diahann returned to public education as an Accounting Instructor at a Broward County technical college, where she teaches both dual enrollment high school students and adult learners. There, she led the development of the first-ever IRS-sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program within Broward County Public Schools. Initially launched as a grassroots service-learning initiative, the program thrived for three years before receiving competitive grant funding, expanding its capacity to serve both students and the broader community. Through this innovative partnership, students gain real-world experience in financial services while providing free tax assistance to underserved residents.
Diahann, earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Barry University in 2005 and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction. Her work reflects a deep commitment to community engagement, educational excellence, and student-centered innovation - values that align with the mission of Barry University.
