Biography

Dr. Maya Ozery is the Senior Associate AD for Student-Athlete Development at the University of Kansas. Ozery was previously the Executive Director of the Cooper Athletics Leadership Program at Georgetown University (Washington, DC), and served as a senior member of the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics leadership team, with responsibility for multiple internal operations and leading the department's diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Ozery earned her doctorate in Organizational Leadership and is a leadership development consultant who works with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Institute for Sport and Social Justice. She is also an adjunct instructor for Georgetown University’s Sport Industry Management program, teaching courses on leadership and management, and social justice and activism. Ozery was a member of the Barry University Women’s Soccer program (2006-2008; team captain senior year), and a member of Israel's National Women's Soccer Team and a two-year team captain for Israel's U-19 National Women's Soccer Team. Ozery and her wife Alison reside in Arlington, VA.
