Biography

Jennifer Andreu is a transformational leader with over 25 years of experience and accomplishments in public and private education. She started her career as an elementary school teacher at South Hialeah Elementary and quickly became an Assistant Principal at Miami Lakes Elementary. She has held a number of roles from Principal at Flamingo Elementary to Administrative Director for Business & Personnel and Administrative Director for the Federal and State Compliance Office. Her current position as Assistant Superintendent, Equity and Diversity for the Office of Economic Opportunity with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, she is focused on helping small/micro, minority/women, and veteran business enterprises become certified to do business with Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Jennifer is committed to expanding opportunities for underutilized businesses with the School Board of Miami-Dade County. As the daughter of a small, minority business owner, Jennifer is passionate about helping others achieve their goals and giving back to the community that has given her so much. Outside of the office, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, traveling, and volunteering. She is a Council Member with the City of Plantation, a member of the Florida Association of School Principals, Dade Association of School Administrators, National Association of Elementary School Principals, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and the United Way of Miami-Dade. As a volunteer, Jennifer is involved with the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, Faith Center Ministries, and Broward County Public Schools.
