
Biography
Jesse Walters graduated from Barry University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He has had a long career in the tourism industry, working at eleven hotels across the country, and has served as CEO of both a convention and visitors bureau and a chamber of commerce. He worked at the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau for eight years, played a prominent role in the city’s hosting of the 2000 Republican National Convention and was involved in the opening of the Pennsylvania Convention Center that featured Vice President Al Gore. He served two terms on the village council of Miami Shores, FL, including a stint as Vice Mayor. He recently retired from the Chesterfield Hotel Palm Beach. Besides being a political junkie and avid reader, he has traveled to 22 countries and 48 states. He is also a major college basketball fan and attends most Barry University men’s basketball games, home and away. He is married to David Traupman, and they have a fifteen-year-old daughter named Faith. He resides with his family in West Palm Beach, FL.
