Biography

Shaniqua V. Gray Garcia is a Master’s Level Clinical Social Worker. While her focus is on fundamental education, early intervention, prevention, and mentorship, she is a true Social Worker at heart who also provides various forms of advocacy and resources for children, adults, and families with the utmost commitment to serving the needs of her community. She knows no single approach works for everyone, so she continues to educate herself on emerging trends to provide the most comprehensive support and guidance to those she serves. Caring for others is part of her nature, helping to make their lives better and happier. She works with children, young adults, individuals, groups, couples, and families using an eclectic approach tailored to the unique needs of each new and existing client. Shaniqua has years of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients, including both long-term and brief interventions for Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Mood Disorders, Autism, ADHD, Grief/Loss, Anger Management, Familial Intervention, Co-Occurring disorders under the guidance the therapeutic approaches such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychotherapy, Acute and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She is a graduate of Barry University, where she received both her Bachelor’s in Social Work in December of 2016 and Master’s degree in Social Work in August of 2017. She is a lifelong learner inspired by the abundance of opportunities available to broaden and enrich the lives she impacts daily. She is especially sensitive to the needs of those in her community as she is here as a resource to families within our community.
