
Biography
Tatiana Rodriguez joined the School of Nursing in the College of Health and Wellness in the fall of 2014 as a Simulation Technician/Clinical Placement Assistant. After many years of experience in simulation, her current role is Associate Director of Nursing Simulation. In her role, Ms. Rodriguez is responsible for the oversight and operation of the Simulation Learning Center (SLC). She is a resource and support for both the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs and works closely with nursing students and faculty to facilitate simulation, skills labs, student practice and competency assessment. Tatiana has also facilitated the planning and upcoming opening of a new freestanding Simulation Annex adjacent to Barry’s main campus.
She has had the great opportunity of joining the BSN program in two mission trips to Haiti, to support pop-up clinics for locals.
Tatiana is an active member of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and SimGHOSTS, and is Certified in simulation.
Ms. Rodriguez was born in Bogota, Colombia and moved to South Florida at the age of 11 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Florida State University, with minors in psychology and family and child sciences. In her spare time Tatiana enjoys traveling, sports and spending time with family.
