Biography
I am a pre-professional biology major specializing in pre-vet, and I have had a passion for animals stemming from childhood. Since I was fourteen, I have been working in agriculture and being a member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA). I am so grateful and honored to be a CRAFT scholar and receive these opportunities to continue to work with the USDA and agriculture.
I graduated high school with a certified veterinary assistant degree and have been working diligently alongside a veterinarian since I was 17. I plan to graduate from Barry and join a doctoral program to receive my doctorate in veterinary medicine. I currently own a small chicken breeding business that I started in my junior year of high school. I hope to continue this business and expand, becoming a livestock veterinarian with a successful farm and business by the time I am twenty-eight. The CRAFT scholarship grants me not only the opportunity to go to a private college but also to continue my work in agriculture and gain connections in that field.
