Biography

Amanda Knight joined the Barry University athletic department staff in 2014 as the assistant director of athletics for compliance and special events. She was promoted to associate AD and senior woman administrator in January 2018.Knight is the sport administrator for women’s basketball, rowing, women’s soccer, softball, and volleyball. She is also the athletic advisor for B.U.C.S (Building Unity, Community and Solidarity) the department's social justice task force and created A.R.M.S., the mental health task force for student-athletes. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Science in intercollegiate Athletic Administration from California University of Pennsylvania. Knight is 2013 graduate of NACWAA’s Institute for Administrative Advancement, a 2014 graduate of the NCAA’s Leadership Institute, a member of NAAC, MOAA, Women Leaders in College Sports and Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity.
