Biography

Dr. Ann Lamet has been a faculty member at Barry University for over 25 years and was recently promoted to associate professor in the Division on Nursing in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She has been a member of Sigma Theta Tau International since 1987 and held a leadership position within Lambda Chi since 2007. Her area of interest with older adults coincides with the mission of Barry University, embracing vulnerable and diverse populations. As director of health and education coordination at the Fred Lippman Multi-Purpose Complex, she coordinates awareness, health education, and wellness to older adults in Hollywood, Florida. Dr. Lamet has leadership experience as chairperson of the interfaith committee, past chairperson of the search committee, and sits on the board of several community organizations. Her interest in research and older adults has resulted in publications in nursing and multidisciplinary journals.
