Biography

Annabel Herrera is the Associate Technical Director for the Shepard & Ruth K. Broad Performing Arts Center. She earned her BFA in Theatre with a Specialization in Technical Theatre and BS in Computer Science with a Mathematics minor and Specialization in Data Analytics from Barry University. Annabel has been working professionally in the theatre industry for eight years. She is a multidisciplinary artist with specialties in Stage Management and Lighting Design. Other technical theatre roles include Assistant Stage Manager, Tour Production Manager, Projection Designer, Scenic Designer, Scenic Carpentry and Painting, Light/Sound/Projection Board Operator, Follow Spot Operator, Production Assistant, On-Site Coordinator, and Engagement Manager. Recent credits include 1000 Miles (New City Players), Barefoot in the Park (PPTOPA), A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play (New City Players), Little Montgomery (New City Players), I Am Me (Adrienne Arsht Center), El Matrimonio Secreto (Florida Grand Opera), Kitty Hawk (Adrienne Arsht Center), Frankenstein (Zoetic Stage), and War Words (City Theatre).
 
She collaborates closely with the Technical Director and Fine Arts Production Specialist to put together Barry related events throughout the academic school year such as Fine Arts performances, student life events, graduations, and ceremonies. Year round she also helps put together events for companies that rent the auditorium for their dance recitals, K-12 graduations, summer school graduations, and company events.
