Biography
Professor Evitt has been a physician assistant since 2003. Her specialty is neurosurgery and urgent care. She is licensed in the state of Florida and maintains National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification. Prof. Evitt is an active member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Physician Assistant Education Association. Professor Evitt has been in PA education since 2011. She is an assistant professor and has been the Academic Coordinator at Barry University since 2022. She earned a BS in Medical Technology from the Louisiana State University, and a Master of Clinical Medical Science from Barry University. She delivered national podium presentations at the PANCE/PANRE Review Conference every year since 2019, and she authored articles published in The Pain Clinic and Surgical Physician Assistant. She was inducted into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants in 2013. She currently serves on Advisory Board, Admissions Committee, Student Curriculum Committee, Faculty Curriculum Committee, Student Evaluation Committee, CHW Faculty Evaluation Committee, CHW Student Retention Committee, and University Technology Advisor Council. Her areas of interest include neurosurgery, hematology, endocrinology, radiology, and student success.
