Biography
Dr. Cherison Cuffy, DPM, serves as an accomplished Assistant Professor at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. His educational journey commenced at Temple School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from 2002 to 2006. Dr. Cuffy then pursued a Residency in Podiatric Surgery at Northwest Medical Center in Margate, Florida, from 2006 to 2009. Prior to his podiatric studies, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Miami from 1998 to 2002.
With a wealth of professional academic experience, Dr. Cuffy has been an Assistant Professor at Barry University since 2014, contributing significantly to the academic and clinical development of podiatric students. His commitment extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by his role as a Clinical Investigator at the Brand Research Center at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Cuffy has made substantial contributions to the field of podiatric surgery through his role as the Assistant Director of the Residency Program at Northwest Medical Center since 2016. Additionally, he serves as a Clinical Supervisor in the Residency Program at Jackson North Medical Center in Miami since 2017. His past professional experiences include serving as a Faculty Physician in Wound Care Centers at University Hospital and Broward Health Coral Springs in 2010, and running a private practice in Tamarac, Florida, during the same period.
A highly qualified podiatrist, Dr. Cuffy holds multiple board certifications, including Diplomat status from the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery, the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and the American Board of Wound Management as a Certified Wound Specialist (CWS).
