Biography

Daniel Packert M.S, HT, HTL(ASCP)CM, is the Program Director for the Histotechnology Program. He graduated from Barry University with a MS in Clinical Biology with a specialization in Histotechnology. Daniel began his teaching career at Barry University in 2010 as an adjunct professor and is currently an Associate Professor of Clinical Laboratory Sciences. He has previously done research in Nitric Oxide and its uses as a disinfectant with the School of Podiatry. Currently his research focus is on methods to demonstrate biofilm on histologically prepared tissue samples. Daniel works with the National Society of Histotechnology, American Society for Clinical Pathology, and the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences to help promote education and further the field of Histotechnology and student success within the field.
