Biography

Dr. Jacqueline Brill, DPM, is a dedicated Professor specializing in Podiatric Surgery at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida. Her educational achievements include earning Diplomate status from both the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Wound Management, with the prestigious title of Certified Wound Specialist (C.W.S).  

As a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and an Associate of the American College of Podiatric Sports Medicine, Dr. Brill's commitment to advancing her field is evident. She is also a member of the American Association of Women Podiatrists, the American Diabetes Association Professional Section, the American College of Certified Wound Specialist, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Florida Podiatric Medical Association. 

Dr. Brill is affiliated with Jackson North Medical Center, where she serves as Associate Chief of the Podiatric Surgery Department as well as the Director of Residency Training  

For the Podiatric Medicine & Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery. Her academic journey began at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, followed by a residency at Cedars Medical Center – Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, where she completed both the Podiatric Surgical Residency Program and the Primary Podiatric Medical Residency Program. 

Within the academic realm, Dr. Brill holds the position of Professor of Podiatric Surgery at Barry University. Her dedication to education is further emphasized by her role as Director of Residency Training for Podiatric Medicine & Surgery Residencies since 1999. 

Dr. Brill has been an active participant in various committees at Barry University, including the Faculty Senate, Faculty Awards Committee, and Faculty Handbook Committee, showcasing her commitment to institutional governance. She has also contributed significantly to professional committee memberships, such as her role as the Council of Teaching Hospitals (COTH) Region V Representative. 

In addition to her clinical and academic roles, Dr. Brill has made notable contributions to podiatric literature, including publications such as "Teaching Public Speaking Skills Can Enhance Resident Education" and chapters in books like "Foot and Ankle Radiology, 2nd Edition." Her commitment to research is further exemplified by numerous scientific and research presentations at conferences across the country, addressing topics ranging from diabetic limb salvage to disaster relief experiences in Haiti.
