Biography

Dr. James M. Losito, DPM,  a distinguished podiatric surgeon and orthopedic specialist, has devoted his career to the field of foot and ankle surgery, with a particular focus on sports medicine. His extensive qualifications and experience make him a leading authority in his specialty.

Education has been a cornerstone of Dr. Losito's professional journey. He holds Diplomate status from both the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, showcasing his commitment to maintaining the highest standards in his field. Additionally, he is recognized as a Fellow by the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine, as well as the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Losito's academic foundation was laid at the California College of Podiatric Medicine, where he earned his degree in 1985. Since then, he has continued to contribute to the academic community as a Professor at the School of Podiatric Medicine. His dedication to education is further reflected in his involvement in various committee memberships and academic appointments.

Board-certified in both podiatric orthopedics and surgery, Dr. Losito maintains hospital affiliations with Mercy Hospital, where he actively contributes to the Operative and Invasive Procedures Review Committee. His commitment to excellence in patient care extends beyond the hospital setting, as evidenced by his roles as Director of the Fellowship in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Barry University/Mercy Hospital.

In addition to his academic and clinical responsibilities, Dr. Losito has been actively involved in various sports organizations. He has served as a Team Podiatric Physician for the Miami Heat in the National Basketball Association, the University of Miami, and as a Podiatric Consultant for Kansas University.
