Biography

Janet Sierra Rodriguez is a passionate occupational therapist and educator with a deep-rooted commitment to helping patients regain their independence. She earned a Master's degree from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Health Science in Rehabilitative Sciences from the University of Florida. After years of practicing, she received an advanced certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). She has developed her skills in treating a wide range of upper extremity conditions.
 
Having collaborated with renowned orthopedic surgeons in Miami, Janet brings a wealth of clinical experience to the classroom. As an adjunct professor at Barry University, she shares her expertise in the Hand and Upper Extremity course, inspiring future generations of occupational therapists.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Janet remains at the forefront of her field through active participation in professional organizations like the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT). Her dedication to lifelong learning is evident in her attendance at prestigious conferences, where she stays informed of the latest advancements in hand therapy.
