Biography

I have a strong commitment to education. I hold a Ph.D. in Global Corporate Leadership from Lynn University, a Master’s in Psychology from Lesley University and a Bachelor’s in Education from Boston College. My work in career development and executive coaching has been featured on WPTV’s Channel 5/ Power Profile, as well as in the Palm Beach Post and the Sun Sentinel newspapers. Publications have included articles on women entrepreneurs, mentoring, coaching, diversity, doctoral programs and succession planning. Individual and corporate clients have come from companies large and small including Levenger, FedEx, Career Concepts, The School District of Palm Beach County, Citrix Systems, Inc., National Healing Corporation, Motorola, and BellSouth. Before transitioning to human resource development as a, career development specialist and organization development consultant, I worked as a high school counselor and middle and elementary school teacher. After receiving my Ph.D., I worked as the coordinator and Program Director for the Ph.D. and EdD, programs in Human Resource Development at Barry University. More recently I led the redesign of the doctorate education (EDD) program in alignment with CPED’s principles (which includes three concentrations: Educational Leadership, Higher Education Leadership and Human Resource Development). Currently, I am Co-Chair of the Hybrid and Online Learning Improvement Group at The Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED). Areas that I have researched while redesigning the EdD, has been student writing, practitioner’s problems of practice, social justice, evaluation, barriers to finishing dissertations, action research and improvement science.
