Biography

Professor Ross joined Barry University School of Law as an Assistant Professor in 2017. Prior to joining Barry, Professor Ross taught at Florida A & M University College of Law in the areas of Legal Research and Writing and Florida Civil Practice. Professor Ross was a defense litigator for eight years in the Orlando area. She began her legal career as an associate attorney with Rumberger, Kirk, & Caldwell, P.A. in Orlando, practicing in the areas of products liability, premises liability, professional malpractice, personal injury defense, insurance coverage matters, and employment law. Thereafter, she became an associate attorney with Ford & Harrison, LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, where her primary areas of practice were Title VII discrimination, wage and hour, employee leaves, and wrongful termination. As an attorney with Ford & Harrison, LLP, she advised private and public sector employers on a variety of workplace issues and provided training and seminars on numerous areas of employment law. Most recently, Professor Ross worked as Staff Counsel for GEICO handling all phases of litigation, including trial, on insurance defense and auto-accident defense matters.
