Biography
Professor Mitchell Frank teaches Florida Evidence, Federal Evidence, Trial Advocacy, Florida Civil Practice, and Motions and Depositions. For 15 years he served as Faculty Advisor and often as a coach to the School of Law's award-winning Trial Team program. Professor Frank came to the school in 1998 as an adjunct professor and became a full-time faculty member in 1999. His professional experience includes 19 years in private practice and as a managing attorney for Travelers Insurance Company, where he handled more than 1,000 contested personal injury, insurance defense and discrimination cases. Professor Frank has lectured on discovery techniques in personal injury litigation, been published in the Trial Advocate Quarterly, a publication of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, as well as in seven law review articles. He was for many years a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer. Professor Frank is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. Professor Frank’s expertise includes trial advocacy, evidence, insurance defense litigation, substance and practice of civil litigation, and surveys of actual jurors.
