Biography

After growing up in South Florida, Dr. Dick completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University with dual majors in Chemical and Biological Sciences. He then went on to obtain his PhD in Pharmacology and Bachelors in Pharmacy from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Dick spent the next 15 years as a faculty member in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. During this period he also spent eight years as the Director of the Louisiana Poison Control Center. Dr. Dick joined the Anesthesiology program at Barry University in 2002. His responsibilities include teaching basic scientific principles in Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Biochemistry, and Physics. He is also actively involved in developing, testing, and implementing new teaching methodologies for synchronous and asynchronous online courses.
