Biography

Sandra L. Roberts, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Administration. She received her Ph.D. in Leadership and her M.A. in Humanities from Barry University and teaches courses in leadership, marketing, research methodologies, ethics, and diversity. She brings over twenty years of experience at both the graduate and undergraduate levels in teaching, program development and, distance education. Dr. Roberts spent her formative years in Peru and attended the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at the American School of Lima, Peru. Dr. Roberts has over thirty years of business experience having worked as a senior international advertising executive and Latin American photo-journalist developing and implementing integrated multi-lingual marketing, advertising and, public relations initiatives, including off-shore campaigns and special events for clients throughout Latin America, Europe and, the US. A recipient of numerous awards for national and international journalism and Spanish language creative marketing campaigns she is also the author of Hispanic Market Opportunities. Dr. Roberts's research interests focus on International Business, Leadership, Ethics, Cultural Work-Related Values, Research Methodologies and, Self-Efficacy. She has presented papers peer reviewed conferences including the Irish Academy of Management, Academy of International Business, Business Association of Latin American Studies in Lima, Peru, Organization of Women in International Trade and, Women in Leadership Institute. Dr. Roberts serves as a board member of Alfalit International-a non-profit organization providing literacy training throughout the world; consultant to Rotary International's Polio Initiative; founding member of Women in International Trade; Past-President of the Miami Shores Rotary Club and Co-Chair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce - Leadership Americas Committee. She is an Advocacy and Public Policy Leader for the American Cancer Society, leading groups to Tallahassee, FL and, Washington, DC speaking on behalf of the Cancer Action Network. Dr. Roberts is affiliated with the American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service.
