Biography
Dr. Sandra Schrouder is a Professor of Public Administration in the Andreas School of Business at Barry University. She received a BA (Honors) degree from the University of the West Indies, an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, and a PhD in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
Dr. Schrouder’s research interests are in the areas of Management, Public Policies, Public Finance, Education Policies, Organizational Studies, Bureaucratic Discretion, and Juvenile Justice. Her publications include articles in peer reviewed journals such as Development in Practice, Journal of Economics and Finance Education, International Review of Economics Education, Applied Economic Letters, Journal of Economics and Sustainable Development, among others. She is the co-author of the book “Contemporary issues in the Development of Caribbean Economies,” and the author of BarCharts: QuickStudy Business: Management Leadership, a quick study guide designed to illustrate the importance of leadership in the business world. Dr. Schrouder has served on the editorial review board of the Journal of Asia Business Studies, and as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed academic journals. Dr. Schrouder is a reviewer for online and web-assisted courses for Quality Matters and frequently reviews textbooks in her field.
Dr. Schrouder is very active in the community. She is a member of the Community Relations Council board of North Broward Hospital (Broward Health); a member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board for the City of Parkland; the co-chair of the Coalition of Jamaican Alumni Associations of Florida and the co-editor of its monthly newsletter; a member of the executive board of Florida’s University of the West Indies Alumni Association; and a member of the education committee of Wolmer’s Alumni Association of South Florida.
