Biography

Dr. Shirley Ye Sheng is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Barry University. She holds a PhD. from Florida Atlantic University, where she worked as a research assistant and instructor. Dr. Sheng teaches Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Strategy and Management, Advertising and Brand Promotion, and Global Marketing at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Her areas of research interest include international market opportunity analysis, consumer behavior, and branding. Prior to academia, she worked as the China business development manager for the Liverpool (UK) Chamber of Commerce and was the representative for Liverpool in China. She has published peer-reviewed articles in the International Marketing Review, Journal of Global Business, Advances in International Marketing, Journal of Macro Marketing, International Journal of China Marketing, Technology Innovation Management Review, and American Journal of Business Research. She also serves on the board of Chinese Association of Science, Education, and Culture (CASEC), the largest Chinese American organization in South Florida. Dr. Sheng was awarded the 2013 Outstanding Faculty of the Year Award from Barry University.
