Biography

Dr. Tyler has over 40 years of experience bringing meaningful changes to organizations and enriching the lives of people. He has helped lead organizations through major operational changes including developing and implementing virtual platforms to maintain operations and staff during the pandemic.

Dr. Tim Tyler is currently serving as the Outpatient Director of Behavioral Health Services for Jessie Trice Community Health. In the past, Dr. Tyler served as Director of Programs for Agape Family Network whose mission is “restoring individuals and families to psychological, social, physical and spiritual health.”

Prior to his work at Agape, Dr. Tyler served as the Program Administrator for Miami Dade County Public Schools Health Connect Program, providing contractual oversight, data collection and reporting for a multi-million Dollar program implementing primary care clinics in 147 public schools throughout the county. Under his leadership, The Health Connect program implemented of one of the largest School Telehealth Programs in the state. In 2018, Dr. Tyler was awarded a “Favorite Professor” award for his outstanding teaching and mentoring.

Dr. Tyler formed a non-profit organization called “The Miami Globetrotters” that took under privileged young people to Africa on educational excursions. The students visited Senegal, Cape Town, SA, and Johannesburg, SA. He is the son of Missionary parents that worked in Nigeria, West Africa. As a result of their influence, Dr. Tyler has done mission work in West Africa, South Africa, Belize, and Haiti.
