Biography
Professor Demshok is an assistant professor of medical education in the Physician Assistant program. A Miami native, he attended Miami Dade College and completed his Bachelor of Science in Medicine from the University of Florida in 1982. He completed his Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at St. Thomas University in Miami in 1994. Professor Demshok has worked in a variety of primary care settings including urgent care, primary care, and student health, as well as serving homeless and indigent patients in Jacksonville, Homestead, and downtown Miami at Camillus Health Concern. He has specialty training in ophthalmology, having worked at the Bascom Palmer Eye Hospital emergency room for 7 years. Professor Demshok has been an adjunct faculty member of the Barry University Physician Assistant Program since 2003 and full time faculty since 2008.
