Biography
Heather Johnson Desiral, Ed.D., is the Integrative Learning Facilitator for the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). She is also an adjunct faculty member in the Adrian Dominican School of Education, Leadership, and Human Development. She earned a doctorate in reading education and a master’s in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at Nova Southeastern University and also holds a B.A. from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. Currently, Dr. Johnson Desiral is pursuing a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Special Education at Barry University. Her research interests involve special education and language-minority families, particularly parents of special-needs children within the community.
