The Honors Program at Barry is designed to challenge, enrich, and prepare especially motivated students to pursue their fullest potential. Students are given the space for discussion and debate and the opportunity to learn from experts in their fields. The Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library is located in the center of the beautiful Miami Shores campus of Barry University. The Library is named in loving memory of Monsignor William Barry, one of the founders of Barry University and an inspirational figure in the Catholic Church within the Archdiocese of Miami. The extensive Library research collections include more than 950,000 physical items, over 40,000 print and on-line journal subscriptions, and several thousand on-line books and streaming video resources.

We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

Biography

Orianna Camargo, a Venezuelan native, brings a wealth of experience in higher education and residential management to Barry University. With a background as a Residence Coordinator and Coordinator of Business Operations, Orianna's expertise is finely tuned to meet the unique needs of the university environment.
Prior to joining Barry University, Orianna served as an Export Compliance Specialist at South Cargo LLC, where she sharpens her skills in business operations and compliance. Before that, she held the role as a Graduate Assistant for First-Year Experience Programs, New Student Orientation, demonstrating her commitment to student support and engagement.

Orianna holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in International Business & Management, achieved while actively contributing to Barry University's Rowing Team. She furthered her education by earning a Master of Business Administration from Barry University, solidifying her understanding of organizational management and strategy.

In her new role, Orianna will oversee the Business Operations for Housing and Residence Life, leveraging her diverse skill set to enhance the student experience. She is enthusiastic about positively impacting students' lives, serving as a valuable resource, and advocating for their success at Barry University. Orianna’s modo is to always lead by example and from the heart.
