Biography
I decided on a STEM major at Barry University because I have loved Marine Biology since I was 5 years old. I had the opportunity to swim with manatees, and I knew that I wanted the opportunity to work with marine animals for the rest of my life. I've been extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to volunteer with sea turtle conservationists in Panama during high school. That experience solidified my interest in the marine biology field. Professionally, I intend to earn my PhD and work as a research scientist. I have a couple areas of research in which I am interested, from coral reef ecology to the applications of paralytic agents in the medical field. However, the area of research I am most excited about would be studying the sociology of dolphins.
