The Honors Program at Barry is designed to challenge, enrich, and prepare especially motivated students to pursue their fullest potential. By participating in a rigorous curriculum rounded out by an array of edifying and interactive events, students explore crucial issues that we face in our daily lives. Students are given the space for discussion and debate and the opportunity to learn from experts in their fields. The Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library is located in the center of the beautiful Miami Shores campus of Barry University. The Library is named in loving memory of Monsignor William Barry, one of the founders of Barry University and an inspirational figure in the Catholic Church within the Archdiocese of Miami. The extensive Library research collections include more than 950,000 physical items, over 40,000 print and on-line journal subscriptions, and several thousand on-line books and streaming video resources.

We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

What is your favorite location on campus?:
My dorm lol, it’s my cozy spot to unwind and recharge.

Why did you choose Barry?:
I chose Barry because it has such a small campus. I really value the tight-knit community, and it makes it easier to build relationships with professors and classmates.

Why am I a student ambassador?:
I became a student ambassador because I genuinely enjoy helping people, especially new students who might be nervous about starting college. As an international student, I know how overwhelming the transition can be, and it is so important to have someone for support and guidance. I want to be that friendly, familiar face for someone else.

Tips for someone searching for the right college?
Don’t just focus on rankings, you need to look for a school that fits your personality and goals for yourself, somewhere that you can feel supported and also challenged. Try to visit the campus if you can, talk to current students and trust your gut feelings.

Service opportunity that you've participated in?
I have not had the chance to participate in any service projects at Barry yet, but back home I’ve been involved in a lot of community outreach. I’ve helped organize donation drives, volunteered with groups that support families in need-whether it’s providing food, school supplies or just being there to lend a hand and spread some cheer.

What are your future plans?
I definitely want to work in the healthcare field-specifically with children. I have always had a natural connection with kids and I feel like that’s where I’m meant to be. I want to make a real difference in young lives and be a source of comfort and support for families!
