The Honors Program at Barry is designed to challenge, enrich, and prepare especially motivated students to pursue their fullest potential. By participating in a rigorous curriculum rounded out by an array of edifying and interactive events, students explore crucial issues that we face in our daily lives. Students are given the space for discussion and debate and the opportunity to learn from experts in their fields. The Office of Financial Aid can assist with determining eligibility for the Honors Program.

The Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library is located in the center of the beautiful Miami Shores campus of Barry University. The Library is named in loving memory of Monsignor William Barry, one of the founders of Barry University and an inspirational figure in the Catholic Church within the Archdiocese of Miami. The extensive Library research collections include more than 950,000 physical items, over 40,000 print and on-line journal subscriptions, and several thousand on-line books and streaming video resources.

We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

New to Housing

Students who are new to housing need to apply for housing online through their MyHousing account campushousing.barry.edu They will need to login and click on the APPLICATIONS Tab at the top. Next, the application will need to be filled out completely. As part of the application, the student will be required to pay a $75.00 non-refundable application fee housing. Once the application is completed, you will receive an email confirmation indicating that your application has been submitted successfully.

Returning Students

Returning students need to complete the Housing Application to live on campus. The Housing Application is located on your MyHousing account under the Applications Tab. campushousing.barry.edu In order for a Returning Student to complete the housing application, you must first register for classes. A student will not be able to apply for housing until they are registered for classes.

Room Selection

Returning students who want to live on campus will participate in the Room Selection Process. The Room Selection Process typically occur’s the last week in April, the week before finals. Once a student completes their housing application, they will then be able to select a roommate through their MyHousing account. campushousing.barry.edu Your selection time/number, and types of selections you can participate in will be listed on your main homepage in your MyHousing account close to the week of selection. You should check your university email regularly for additional information in the month of April.
