Programs and Workshops

BarryU Thrive Mission is to empower students through peer education and campus-wide engagement to make responsible decisions that promote physical, mental and emotional health. 

Learning Outcomes:  

  1. Participants will develop skills and knowledge in the seven dimensions of the wellness wheel.
  2. Participants will achieve a higher level of satisfaction in the seven dimensions of the wellness wheel.
    • measured by pre/post measure
  3. Participants will improve their overall wellbeing.

General Information of the Program: 

  • 8-week course based on a set Wellness Curriculum  
    • Content will be created in collaboration with experts within the University community  
  • Each week a key aspect of the wellness wheel will be covered in an engaging manner. 
  • Each week will also include an activity for them to participate in and practice the skills that they learned. 
  • Incentives for participation – (dining dollars for attendance, prizes)  
  • Certificate will be given for all participants who attend all sessions.
