Parrot Packs

Students share everyday items they can't live without.

"On the outside, I am a quiet student who just does his classwork", says Reid, "But once you get to know me, You'll see my funny, relatable, and kind side."

What's in your Bag?

Name: Romar Reid
Hometown: Hanover, Jamaica
Major: Class of 2025 | Computer Science
Barry Generation: First

Hopes and Dreams: Reid hopes to become a software engineer or data scientist for a financial or investment firm but eventually would like to own his own tech company—seems about right for a student who likes to code in his free time

iPhone: Absolute necessity for texting with friends and family, ordering Ubers, and keeping himself organized with reminders.

Polo Ralph Lauren Cologne: A birthday gift that came in a set of four keeps Reid refreshed. Reid likes to smell, as he puts it, “pleasant.”

Burt's Bees lip balm: Air conditioning and Florida heat can do a number on the lips. Reid is always at the ready.

Chargers for all that tech: “Without my chargers, I would be a mess,” says Reid. “I would constantly worry about the battery percentage of my devices and constantly feel anxious.”

A jacket: Sometimes a guy just likes to keep warm in cool classrooms and protect himself from the Florida rain as he makes his way from class to class.

Hand Sanitizer: Not surprisingly, COVID-19’s long-lasting footprint can be found in most students’ bags these days.
