Justin Suarez '25

Hometown
New York, NY

Major
Marine Biology

Justin Suarez is a music-and sports-loving New Yorker, and he finds Miami to be much calmer than the hustle and bustle of his hometown. He’s also a huge fan of learning: documentaries (especially the mind-blowing ones about education, space theories, and evolution) are a go-to on nights on campus. As a marine biology major, he plans to develop a career around fisheries’ sustainability.

Phone
From emails to meal swipes and dining dollars, Suarez’ phone is a must-have.

Calculator
Suarez uses his calculator in just about every course. “It makes my life 1,000 times easier when it comes to the math portion of my curriculum.”

Lab Coat
With two labs every week, zoology and chemistry, Suarez won’t be found without it.

Apple Music Playlist
According to Suarez, music boosts his mood, helps stimulate his mind, and gives him a positive spirit.

Snacks
Suarez usually doesn’t have time to grab something to eat in between classes, so backpack snacks are critical. “I make sure I am providing my body with the nutrients it needs to properly function,” he says. A little extra grub comes in handy for Suarez, especially on the days he has his basketball and volleyball classes.
