The Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences has achieved another notable milestone through the outstanding work of its graduate students from the Kinesiology and Human Performance program. Djuly Schmorantz and Sam Vilmeau recently presented their research at the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) conference in Baltimore, under the guidance of Dr. Amasay. Their study, titled "Analysis of Three Block Jump Techniques in Collegiate Volleyball Players," focused on comparing kinematics and kinetics variables across different block techniques used in volleyball.

Their presentation earned them a commendable 7th place out of 67 Master level poster presentations, highlighting the significance of their findings in enhancing athletic performance. The NSCA, recognized globally for its expertise in strength and conditioning, provides a platform for disseminating research-driven knowledge and its practical applications to elevate fitness and athletic achievements worldwide. Schmorantz and Vilmeau's achievement underscores their dedication to advancing sports science and contributing valuable insights to the field.
