Biography

Dr. Cordero received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida. He completed his medical degree and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at West Virginia University School of Medicine. He received addition training in Maternal and Fetal Medicine at Jackson Memorial/University of Miami School of Medicine and Medical Genetics at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Dr. Cordero’s clinical interests include prenatal diagnosis and reducing health risks and disparities. His research focus is in defining the molecular mechanisms underlying craniofacial and forebrain malformation in-utero. He has participated in the education and training of undergraduate and medical students as well as resident and fellowship physicians.
