Biography
Dr. Katherine L. Nelson is an Associate Professor and has been at Barry since 1998. In addition to serving as the department’s Internship Coordinator and the university’s Director of Study Abroad, she teaches courses in interpersonal, small group, relational, and family communication, business and professional communication, public speaking, and qualitative research methods. Her current research interests include how to ensure productive and valuable student internships, the dynamics of study abroad experiences, and the effects of addiction on interpersonal and family relationships. She earned the Ph.D. at Arizona State University.
